Later in the post-match interview skipper was asked about the celebration by Sanjay manjrekar. He said “It’s not the CPL (about Williams’s celebration), it happened to me in Jamaica when he got me out. So I thought I’ll tick a few in the notebook as well, but all good. There were a few words, but smiles at the end. That’s what you want to see. Good competitive cricket but in the end shake hands and give a hi-fi. That’s what cricket is all about. Play it hard but have respect for opponents.”

Actually this all started way back in 2017 when Williams had given Virat Kohli a ‘scratchpad style’ farewell in the wake of taking his wicket and Kohli had obviously not overlooked that.
This innings by Virat Kohli helped India to pursue down the objective of 208 with eight balls to spare.
2nd T20 of India and West Indies will be on Sunday, December 8.
